Reserve Parachute Repack

Your reserve is your last line of defence.  When packed correctly, your reserve will open fast and reliably.

We provide professional reserve repacks with full transparency and careful attention to detail — so you can launch in any conditions with confidence.

Regular repacks of reserve parachutes help to ensure reliable openings in the event they are required.  SAFA recommend repacking every 6 months and manufacturers between 6 and 12 months.  Correct, tidy and symmetrical folding and line stowing techniques affect your opening time and reliability, as does the harness insertion and closure procedure.

At Planet Paragliding we are very experienced at all of these components and are well versed in a wide variety of reserves, harnesses and techniques.  We also air your reserve fully prior to packing to encourage your reserve to loft quickly on deployment, and to eliminate any moisture that will deteriorate the materials over time. 
We only use silicone bands for line stows as they do not deteriorate and melt to your lines and fabric as we often see with elastic bands.

Packing into your harness ensures that your reserve bridles are attached and stowed correctly, that your reserve fits snugly into the harness, and the reserve pins are properly closed.  We will cover these components as part of the 'harness insertion' option, alternatively you can detach your reserve from the harness for a 'reserve only' repack. 

As part of your repack you will receive a detailed report for your records, containing detailed notes and photographs of the packing process including any issues that were found.
