Reserve Parachute Repack
Regular repacks of reserve parachutes help to ensure reliable openings in the event they are required. SAFA recommend repacking every 6 months and manufacturers between 6 and 12 months. Correct, tidy and symmetrical folding techniques affect your opening time and reliability, as do the elastic bands used and the harness insertion and closure.
At Planet Paragliding we are very experienced at all of these components and are well versed in a wide variety of reserves, harnesses and techniques. We also air your reserve fully as moisture in the container and harness can deteriorate the fabrics and lines over time.
You will receive a detailed report of the repack for your records containing detailed notes and photographs of the packing process including any issues that were found.
You can ship us your reserve with a return address, and we can pack and post back for the shipping cost, or drop it in to our Beechmont studio.
If you are unsure of the type of your reserve and don't want to open it to check, post it to us and we can invoice you for the type that you have.
